Ellie

Toyota Hiace Commuter

Ellie is yet another Toyota Hiace Commuter, built with a difference. This job is an example of how we can build a van to cater for anyone’s needs.

We were approached by a lady with a unique layout in mind. Di required a fitout comfortable not only for herself but also for her 2 dogs who would be regularly coming along for the ride.

Only requiring a single bed for herself, Di prioritised floor space throughout the van. We moved the fridge from the usual place to behind the driver’s seat, tucked in next to the slide out kitchen to make the main cabin area (the space revealed when opening the passenger side sliding door)a space for dog beds. The usual  fixed bed width has been cut in half, replaced with a higher and thinner cabinet with pop out drawers.

We leave it to the customers to decide how many windows to black out and how many to leave exposed. Keeping this one all light with tassie oak and a matching light sandy oak floor, we love how the 3 windows tie it all together.
